In the past, most employees did not have access to their employer’s financial statements via the website in terms of a publicly traded company. Due to SEC’s Regulations, publicly traded firms are required to report their financial statements on a quarterly basis. At times, things could be misinterpreted and rumors will begin to surface in regards to the organization’s financial stability.

I’m currently a freshmen in college. And I receive lots of financial aid (THANK GOD).
Now, I’m taking 15 credits this semester. And 12 is full time.
I’m considering dropping a course b/c of low grade and that course is 4 credits.
So, then I’ll go down to 11 credits. Which ISN’T full time!

I already received financial aid for this semester. And I applied for next semester.

Will this affect the money I get in any way?

For instance, if you applied for financial aid for college and they give you enough for one year then you get a full time job and apply for financial aid next year does it drastically affect the amount of financial aid you are going to get? Is it better just to work part time rather than full time?

I am interested to know how my financial life is going to change now that I am expecting. I will be a single mother that will continue to persue my education full-time. Are there grants that I am able to receive? Maybe scholarships? Thank you for your help!

For months I will pay bills on time, put money in savings, spend money, etc. and then boom I make stupid assumption about things or think something isn’t going to go through so fast, and BAM…our bank account is a complete mess.

Aside from the “You should be more responsible” answers…do you have any real suggestions? How do you and your spouse handle money? Do you split the money you make? Do you have any good financial planning book suggestons?

THANKS!

I am a college sr. who is registered for 11 hours and wait listed for an additional 4. I am concerned I will not be eligible for financial aid because I am technically part time until the wait listing comes off. There is no guarantee that it will either. Should I find another class and drop the 4 hour one altogether? Should I add another class and keep the 4 hour class in question, or should I wait and hope to get into the class I need?

Also, yes, I DO need this class to graduate.

We have about $50,000 worth of debt and to save money we are living with my parents. The debt is due to his school and car accidents that he has caused, none of it is mine. I have been the main “bread winner” for a year and a half because of him going to school. I don’t mind, but it’s like he doesn’t even appreciate it. There have been 2 times that he has spent a lot of money without even telling me after. 1) He spent $700 on a toy airplane and 2) He spent $290 on a cell phone, when he could have gotten one for free. I have told him that we need to talk to each other about purchases over $50 at this point in our lives. He agreed, but now it is more like I am rasing a son instead of in a relationship with my husband. He bought the $290 phone when I needed my breaks fixed. Every time I bring up our financial situation to him he blows up and ask if I am just trying to make him feel bad about the debt. It’s just reality. I am going crazy! I don’t know what to do. I’m sorry this was so long

I decided I would like to go back to college to get an aa in human services but my 17yr son just received his G.E.D. and stated he would also like to go to college to get an aa in psychology. I work make less than15,000 and my husband (step-dad) makes about 32,000 and we have 3 kids, and house payment etc. My question is this can we both get financial aid and go to college at the same time.
