I applied for financial aid to a major university awhile back, and today, just realized that they need a letter of why I didn’t register for selective service (hmm, maybe becuase I was born a GIRL) anyway, I have to send the Selective Service a copy of my birth certificate now, and get a letter back from them which could take up to 4-6 weeks, and the University says allow up to 3 months before you get an award letter. I’m supposed to be transferring there in January. Will I have enough time? And also, if I’ve applied for financial aid with the University, does it automatically apply me for student loans as well, just by filling out the FAFSA, or do I need to submit a loan application as well?
I live in Texas and I’m applying to Texas State University.

I’m a recent college grad and about to start full-time work in SF Financial District in August.
Where’s the best neighborhood to live?
I would like to be physically close to work, need a parking spot, no pets, relatively safe and ideally close to nightlife or a more young professional neighborhood.

I’m trying to connect to Google Finance through a standard TCP connection. Google Finance provide financial data in “real time” so I’m trying to grab it through a TCP connection in real time, so that I can feed it into my own program for further analysis. Anyone know how to do this, or have suggestions, or wish to join the project…?

I moved to Atlanta 2 years ago and it took 6 months to find a job. It took 1 1/2 hours, one way, to get to work everyday and 300.00/month on gas so that only lasted for 4 months before I left. After that I did temp work at various agencies until something became permanent. I was offered a better position after 4 months and have been here for the last 4 months. This time here has been filled with financial instability so I am returning to school to improve my situation. However, there is a great job in NYC where I am moving but I don’t know how to condense the past two years of ridiculous situations into something positive. Please help. Thank you.

I consider myself (along with others I know) a decent writer and researcher. I’d like to get started in blogging, but I need financial compensation for the time I spend working my blog spot. I don’t have a college degree, but I do have some college under my belt. (Most college work is research and reporting, and this is most of what I did in college anyway.)

Like I said, what does it take to get started, where should I go, what should I use, and how do I get started.

Thanks, and Have a Great Day!

P.S. I do plan on asking this same question in the Computers and Internet category. Thanks for your time.

I work alot at the doctors office everyday and I think I would be stressed if I attend school full-time also. Would financial aid still cover if I want to go to school part-time? I rather just take 2 classes instead of 4 since this is my first year in colllege.

I am currently on the waiting list for a class that would bump me up into full time status. I only got $500 because I am part time. I was wondering if I would be able to go to my campus financial aid center and ask for more money since I would be finally a full time student? The week coming up would be the third week into school. Thanks.

I am an adult learner currently enrolled in the University of Phoenix online program for Informational technology/ Networking program. I am worried about the debt that I am getting myself into. I currently work in a food packaging plant. With my current financial status, I could afford to work part-time and still pay my bills.
