For months I will pay bills on time, put money in savings, spend money, etc. and then boom I make stupid assumption about things or think something isn’t going to go through so fast, and BAM…our bank account is a complete mess.

Aside from the “You should be more responsible” answers…do you have any real suggestions? How do you and your spouse handle money? Do you split the money you make? Do you have any good financial planning book suggestons?
