financial times
Lisa G asked:

I am back in college to complete my bachelor’s degree so I can go on to graduate school. Unfortunately, I used all available financial aid the first time around, am not eligible for the Pell Grant and have poor credit. I’m wondering if there’s anyone else with a similar situation that would have suggestions. I have registered for an online scholarship contest, but need to explore other options.
I work full time, have normal family expenses. Assistance from my parents is not an option.

Do your parents have poor credit too? If not, they can get a Parent PLUS Loan on your behalf or look into another type of private loan. If you have a credit card or checking/savings account with a bank, speak with them about taking out a loan. If you don’t have a credit card, GET ONE. So you can improve your credit. If you have one too many, get into a debt reduction program to help curb your credit score from dropping any lower.

The old fashioned way would also be to work. I am a full time student and hold two part time jobs. Hope that helps!
