I am interested to know how my financial life is going to change now that I am expecting. I will be a single mother that will continue to persue my education full-time. Are there grants that I am able to receive? Maybe scholarships? Thank you for your help!

I’m planning on going to college in the spring and I’m not sure when I need to be registered and have all my financial aid forms turned in. Any ideas?

I decided I would like to go back to college to get an aa in human services but my 17yr son just received his G.E.D. and stated he would also like to go to college to get an aa in psychology. I work make less than15,000 and my husband (step-dad) makes about 32,000 and we have 3 kids, and house payment etc. My question is this can we both get financial aid and go to college at the same time.

I go to college full time, but want to drop a few classes because my schedule is too hectic. If I did, I would then be considered a part time student….but I’m on financial aid and I know it would affect that. So what exactly would happen?
I’m already on financial aid, but I got it as a full time student. So they paid for all my classes and what not. I just wanted to know what would they do if I did drop some classes, would they make me pay them back immediatly? For the classes I dropped? Does it affect my grace period? My counselors in my college are pretty clueless, student’s always complain about that. Trying to talk to someone from my lender is even harder. Thanks though.
Actually I’m senior, and the only way I could drop classes but still remain a full time student, was if I was taking over 12 hours…which people rarely do because that’s tough.

I don’t want any debt after college, but I really don’t want to spend time looking for loans. My GPA and SAT scores are good and I’m a little on the poor side, so those might help. However, I feel that it would be much easier and would remove a lot of stress if I just got a lot of financial aid and a loan. What do you suggest that I should do?

Scholarships, part-time jobs, financial aid, and student loans: will they overwhelm me in the future? I’ve asked my elder cousin attending a graduate school. He left NYU because his tuition there was over 40 k, hence he’s attending a more affordable school now. He’s still paying off his college tuition! It seems as if I’m handicapped from applying to the schools I’d like to try. Any words or reassurance?

I am currently seeking to buy a home, but I question the thought of not receiving financial aid through my Cal State. I am asking if you can still receive your financial aid if you own a home?

Hi,
When I applied for financial aid I put down that I was planning to go to school 3/4 time in the fall. When I received my financial aid I saw that they gave me enough to go full-time. Even though I would like to it might be more than I can handle with my work schedule but one friend advised me to go full-time while I have enough because I may not get as much next year. Any suggestions about that?

Thanks

In the past, I have been denied financial aid for not completing a class I signed up for. Now I am being denied again for the same reason with a one year period. I have a good reason but, I wonder if I am even eligible for a chance at appeal. Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions on this matter
