I work alot at the doctors office everyday and I think I would be stressed if I attend school full-time also. Would financial aid still cover if I want to go to school part-time? I rather just take 2 classes instead of 4 since this is my first year in colllege.

I am currently on the waiting list for a class that would bump me up into full time status. I only got $500 because I am part time. I was wondering if I would be able to go to my campus financial aid center and ask for more money since I would be finally a full time student? The week coming up would be the third week into school. Thanks.

I’m currently a freshmen in college. And I receive lots of financial aid (THANK GOD).
Now, I’m taking 15 credits this semester. And 12 is full time.
I’m considering dropping a course b/c of low grade and that course is 4 credits.
So, then I’ll go down to 11 credits. Which ISN’T full time!

I already received financial aid for this semester. And I applied for next semester.

Will this affect the money I get in any way?

I am back in college to complete my bachelor’s degree so I can go on to graduate school. Unfortunately, I used all available financial aid the first time around, am not eligible for the Pell Grant and have poor credit. I’m wondering if there’s anyone else with a similar situation that would have suggestions. I have registered for an online scholarship contest, but need to explore other options.
I work full time, have normal family expenses. Assistance from my parents is not an option.

This fall semester I will be attending school full time and I dont have the time to work. I have been considered for a grant but I have to attend school FULL time in order to keep it. I currently have a infant son who will require childcare but I dont have the money to cover it.
So my question is, does financial aid (grants) cover childcare expenses or will I need to somehow get a part time job?
I am an independent…

I go to college full time, but want to drop a few classes because my schedule is too hectic. If I did, I would then be considered a part time student….but I’m on financial aid and I know it would affect that. So what exactly would happen?
I’m already on financial aid, but I got it as a full time student. So they paid for all my classes and what not. I just wanted to know what would they do if I did drop some classes, would they make me pay them back immediatly? For the classes I dropped? Does it affect my grace period? My counselors in my college are pretty clueless, student’s always complain about that. Trying to talk to someone from my lender is even harder. Thanks though.
Actually I’m senior, and the only way I could drop classes but still remain a full time student, was if I was taking over 12 hours…which people rarely do because that’s tough.

When I was 18-years-old I made the mistake of taking out a credit card and maxed it out. I learned from my mistake and never took out a credit card again since that age. I am now 23-years-old and have never had a credit card since; I do business now strictly with cash or check. I just recently settled my credit card debt in court and am actively in the process of repaying this debt back. This is an understandable mistake; I was 18, I was a kid, and thus not a good measure or indicator of my character today. I just recently got accepted at a financial investment company to intern and eventually become a full-time financial rep when I graduate next May; I am right now filling out the job contract paperwork that asks me questions about my personal debt. If I just begun to pay back my credit card from being an 18-year-old, do you really thing they will hold this position against me now? I don’t think it is uncommon that college students have debt anyhow.
